McAlister Construction & The Hill OKC
Construction & Development Branding
Greg and Robin McAlister have spent more than two decades building some of Oklahoma City’s most thoughtful, energy-efficient homes and neighborhoods. One of their most notable projects including the Wheeler District, which transformed a stretch of OKC’s urban core into one of its most beloved communities. After years of operating under the Wheeler name, they needed a brand that could hold everything they’d built and wanted to build next.
The McAlister Construction brand draws inspiration from the same principles that guide their work. Timeless over trendy, considered over generic, built to last. The visual identity leans into a traditional-meets-modern aesthetic – architectural in feel, with clean structure and refined details. A neutral palette of muted greens, warm taupes, navy, and rich earth tones reflects the materiality of their projects without feeling heavy. Typography balances classic serif sensibility with clean, modern letterforms, projecting the kind of confidence you’d expect from a builder with two decades of expertise. Across every application, from business cards to job site signage, the brand communicates integrity, craft, and a genuine investment in the communities McAlister helps to create.
Working closely with Greg and Robin, whose sharp instincts and genuine good taste made every conversation productive, we developed a brand platform for McAlister Construction rooted in their core belief that place matters. From there, we brought that vision to life for their most exciting project yet: The Hill at Bricktown, a new development of geothermal-powered townhomes and single-family homes in the heart of downtown OKC.
For The Hill, we developed a full visual identity anchored by a crest-style logo in a rich palette of deep forest green, warm gold, and natural cream. The tagline, Historic Charm. Modern Living., is woven through every touchpoint. Social templates, tear sheets, billboards, and a full website mockup bring the vision to life. The brand strikes the same balance as The Hill itself – historic at heart, newly built for a modern lifestyle.
Greg and Robin are the kind of clients who make this work genuinely rewarding. Clear about what they believe in, and trusting enough to let great creative follow from it.
