Howard Montgomery is an industrial designer who works with teams to help figure out the material, process and making of an object or idea and then make it “real.” But like so many creatives needed help defining and making real, his own personal brand and professional approach. Howard came to Braid to help him more clearly articulate the value and expertise he brings to collaborators with a look and feel that fit his design sensibilities.
“A friend-of-a-friend as the story goes is how I heard about Braid. I loved what I heard enough that I threatened to act on it. As a professional designer with 25 plus years of experience practicing in the corporate and consulting space I needed redirection, re-envisioning and a huge boost of creative reflection to help me find renewed relevance in what I do.
All creatives need creative council. Braid delivered on the process, the tools, the timeline, and my expectations. It could not have been easier. It was truly a wonderful journey we traveled together.
Over the 8-12 weeks from start to finish we reviewed, refined and ideated the phases of the homework and the branded expressions. The journey provided me with actionable tools, positioning statements, my personal ethos, and physical expressions that represent my philosophy, thinking and volition.
As a creative myself, the process was engaging, enjoyable and empowering. I personally recommend all designers to go through the process to rethinking yourself and your own personal relevance.”
